Develop My Own WordPress Theme

It’s time to move on… I had enough testing and using other peoples WordPress theme for my own blogs. Of course, there are many great & creative themes on the net available and ready to use for any types of WordPress blogs. Myself also had downloaded, tested and used many of them. Some of the best themes are Ikarus from Braydon at wpthemespress.com, Options from Justin Tadlock at justintadlock.com and of course this blog’s current theme, Amazing Grace form Vladimir Prelovac at prelovac.com.
But after all, I thought It must be great if I can develop my own theme. Yes, why shouldn’t I create my own WordPress theme?… at least for my own blogs. I know it might be months if not years before I can complete a theme cause I’m barely know about nut & bolt of WordPress themes…lol. I’m neither web designer, nor a programmer.. haha.. this is so challenging..
By the way, this is great opportunity to learn about coding..CSS, HTML/XHTML, and PHP. I believe I’m good learner.. so, pals out there who are expert at making WordPress themes, please help me… teach me.. at least give me sources where can I learn it. I know, codex.wordpress.org should be the best place to start on… wish me luck!
